Gregory P. Victorino, M.D., Professor of Surgery and Director of Trauma Services for the UCSF-East Bay Surgery Program*, was named Named Outstanding Physician for 2016 by Alameda Health System. Gregory P. Victorino, M.D., Professor of Clinical Surgery in the UCSF-East Bay Surgery Program, received the Siren Award from the Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency. Dr. Victorino, head of Highland's Surgical Trauma Center, accepted the award that recognizes action, expertise and care. Alden H. Harken, M.D. was recently honored with the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of University Surgeons (SUS). Dr. Harken is  Chief of the  UCSF-East Bay Surgery Program, and   Chief of Surgery and Chair of the Surgery Department at Alameda Health System's (AHS).
